Jessie Herbert Wilson Jr., 64, of Tulsa, passed from this life Thursday, August 5, 2021.  He was born January 26, 1957, to Jessie Herbert Wilson Sr. and Carolyn Joyce Foley Wilson in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.  Jessie proudly served his county in the United States Army.

Jessie was a very compassionate person and always knew the perfect card to send for special occasions.  He was a fisherman and hunter and loved spending time outdoors.  He was loving known as Ampa and shared a very special bond with his grandson James.  His relationship with God was very important to him and he liked to visit different churches.  He was also proud of his service work and attendance in various recovery groups. Above all he loved spending time with his family. He was very special and will be greatly missed by so many.

He is preceded in death by his father Jessie Herbert Wilson Sr., sister Kimberly Yvonne Wilson and children Corie Martin and Kristie Martin

He is survived by his mother Carolyn Wilson; sister DeAwna Wilson; nephews Brandon Henderson and Tyler Morris; nieces Ashley Clanton and Emily Fernandez; children Stewart Wilson and Michelle Wilson; grandchildren Tori Lenard Williams, Natalie Smith, James Smith, Oliver Wilson, Stephen Wilson and Nolan Wilson; 2 great-grandchildren; former wife and lifelong companion Valerie Wilson and many other family members and friends.

Services will be 10:00 am, Monday, August 16, 2021, at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville.  Burial will follow at 2:00 pm, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson.  Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S.
