Jimmy Dean DeGraffenreid (Chief), age 66, died peacefully in the arms of his family members on October 23, 2019, at his home in Sapulpa, OK, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Jim was born on March 20, 1953, to Francis Wood and Harold (Dean) DeGraffenreid in Claremore, OK.

Jim married Darlene Moss on January 9, 1971, in Tijuana, Old Mexico. Jim was happily married to Darlene aka Babe for 48 years. Darlene was the love of his life, and they were inseparable; wherever Jim was, Darlene was short to follow.

Jim is survived by his wife Darlene of Sapulpa, OK, and their three children Tina Hawley (Khris), Tracy DeGraffenreid (Tamie), and Cody DeGraffenreid (Meagan). Jim has 10 grandchildren (Kristian, Brayden, Alyssa, Kaitlen, Morgan, Colby, Madison, Josiah, Blayze, and Tyson) and 2 great granddaughters (Harlow and Hudson), in which they were all his world. Jim is survived by his siblings: Carrie Muniz, Elizabeth Hood, Kenneth Wood, Mike DeGraffenreid, and Julie Adams. Jim was preceded in death by his Mother Francis Wood, Brother Jesse Wood, Father Dean DeGraffenreid, and Stepmother Berta DeGraffenreid.

Jim enjoyed working on his custom Harley's and classic cars. Jim also enjoyed going to the drag races, spending time with his friends and family, going to all sporting events for his grandchildren, fishing with his cousin Steve, and getting his mind clear by riding his Harley and listening to music.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 28, 2019, at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville, OK. Visitation will be Sunday, October 27, 2019, between 4:00-6:00pm also at Traditions Funeral Chapel. Jim's final resting place will be immediately followed at Sunrise Cemetery.
