Joanne Lorenzo “Joey” Fuller ~ Beloved Mother, Wife, Gigi, and Friend

Joanne Lorenzo “Joey” Fuller passed away peacefully, surrounded by love. Joey was a devoted and loving mother, a proud Gigi, and a compassionate friend known for her infectious smile, loving heart, strength, and deep commitment to those she loved.
Joey was born on November 1, 1973, in the Philippines. From an early age, she had a servant’s heart. She loved encouraging others, lifting them up with kind words, and showing up when people needed her. Joey was the rock of her family. She brought love and laughter into the home and was always taking pictures, making sure the moments that mattered were captured and remembered.

Joey attended Goose Creek High School for her freshman and sophomore years, then completed her junior and senior years at Wanda High School, graduating in 1993. She later continued her education at Tulsa Community College. Joey built a meaningful career in office management and human resources, where she became known as a dedicated advocate who truly cared about people. She had a natural ability to make others feel heard, supported, and cared for, both professionally and personally. She also brought her fun spirit and personality everywhere she went.

In 1993, Joey met Jonathan W. Fuller on a blind date, and they were married just three months later. Together they raised four children, John Webb Fuller, Joshua Walter Fuller, Leticia Jade Fuller, and Jared Wayne Fuller. Joey’s greatest joy was her family. She poured her heart into creating traditions, gathering loved ones, cooking for everyone, celebrating holidays and birthdays, and making her home a place where people felt welcome.

Being a Gigi was one of the greatest blessings of Joey’s life. Her grandchildren brought her endless joy, laughter, and pride. She loved making memories with them, spoiling them, taking pictures, and simply being present in their lives.

Those who knew her best knew she preferred the name Joey. She loved playing card games, cornhole, watching movies in bed, sitting by a bonfire, and spending time with the people she loved most. She enjoyed watching the birds as she worked from home and appreciated the simple moments in life. Joey kept her friends close and formed lifelong friendships throughout her years as a military wife.

For over 12 years, Joey attended Woodlake Church in Bixby, Oklahoma, where she faithfully served in the coffee shop and volunteered with the Connect Group team. Her faith was a deeply important part of her life. Joey believed in prayer, trusted God through both the joyful and difficult seasons, and was grateful for the many prayer warriors, church family members, friends, and loved ones who walked beside her.

Joey experienced great loss and many challenges throughout her life, but she continued to move forward with strength, love, humor, and faith. She had a way of reminding those around her that even during the hardest moments, there was still something to be thankful for.

Joey was preceded in death by her mother, Leticia V. Cunningham; her father, Walter B. Jones; her husband, Jonathan W. Fuller, who passed away in June 2020; and her sister, Melissa Ketchum-Field.

Joey is survived by her children, John Fuller, Joshua Fuller and fiancé Alyssa, Jade and Ryan Sanders, and Jared Wayne Fuller and fiancé Brynlee; her grandchildren, Journey Fuller, Joshua Fuller Jr., Jayden Fuller, Jaxon Fuller, Jensen Fuller, and Josie Fuller; her dearest and “bestest” friend and boyfriend David “Shack” Shackelford; her sisters, Analuz Dungca, Vivalyn Dungca, and Jennifer M. Mariskanish; her brothers, Robert “Bob” Jones and Eddie Jones; her extended family, including Rita and Boyd Cherry; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear close friends.

Joey’s legacy lives on in the family she raised, the friendships she nurtured, the traditions she created, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness, spirit, laughter, faith, and smile.

She loved deeply, gave freely, and showed up for the people who mattered to her. She would want those she loved to continue making memories, taking the pictures, gathering around the table, laughing together, forgiving quickly, loving fully, and never waiting too long to say, “I love you.”

Joey will be remembered not only for the life she lived, but for the way she made others feel loved, welcomed, and important.

Her love will continue through every story told, every family gathering, every photograph, every bonfire, and every memory shared by the people who were blessed to know and love her.
