John L. Butts 88, of Sapulpa, passed from this life August 12, 2 022. H e was born August 9, 1934 , in Mason, Oklahoma to Van and Mabel (Coleman) Butts .

John m arried Betty Lou Legrand in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on July 20, 1956, and enlisted in the United States Army in March of 1957 where he proudly served his country.  After the service he was employed by Bartlett Collins Glass Company for 47 years . H e enjoyed car races, watching baseball and spending time with h is family .

He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Lou Butts and his parents Van and Mabel Butts.

John is survived by s ons John Butts of Sapulpa and Billy Butts of Sapulpa; daughter Barbara Forrest of Tulsa; grandson Nathan Forrest and wife Vickey; great-granddaughters Kaytlynn and Audrey of San Antonio; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial Services will be 3:30 p.m., Saturday, September 3 , 2022, at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main in Kellyville.
