John Charles Taylor, 79, of Sapulpa, stepped into Heaven on April 22, 2026, surrounded by his family.
John was born January 31, 1947, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to John Taylor and Dorothy Mae Stitt. He graduated from Edison High School in Fresno, California. He achieved an associate degree from Fresno City College. After graduation he went into the military and was promoted to a Sargeant and a decorated National Defense Service Medal Sharpshooter.
He was employed with St. Agnes Medical Center in Fresno, California for 35 years, where he retired in 2003.
John met his wife Ora Jane in 1984 while he was employed at St. Agnes Medical Center. John and Ora Jane moved to Sapulpa, Oklahoma in 2005, and have resided there ever since. This year they celebrated 31 years of marriage.
John enjoyed gardening, which turned him into a master gardener. He also was skilled in photography and bowling. He was a very competitive bowler that went on to win many trophies.
John was a man that loved God with all his heart. John never met a stranger, he loved to talk and share experiences.
