Obituary

The family, of Jon David Barnhart 55, of Kiefer Oklahoma, a believer in Jesus Christ, announces that he completed his journey in God's greatest creation – humanity.  He has entered into the spiritual realm to the Father's house, through the grace and mercy of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was born April 3, 1967, in Sapulpa, OK to David Barnhart and Paulette Pittman Barnhart.  He attended Kiefer Public Schools until he began a career in heavy equipment construction and remained in the field until his retirement.  He was a journeyman and a good mentor to many proteges in the field.

He was a member of First Grace Church in Glenpool, OK. He also attended First Baptist Church in Kiefer, OK.  In his youth Jon enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, rabbit and coon hunting with his siblings, football and baseball.  He played Varsity football for Kiefer and Union High Schools. He was an accomplished horseman and participated in rodeos.  His favorite novel was Where the Red Fern Grows, and his favorite actor was John Wayne.

In his later years in retirement Jon enjoyed spending time and conversing with family and friends, especially his grandson Chevy which he adored.  He was the oldest sibling and reveled and excelled in his role of what a big brother should be. Written words cannot describe the loss of our dear brother.

He was blunt and candid.  He did not mince words; he was honest and hardworking.  His work ethic was work hard, be honest, and sleep well.  He will be missed by all those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Herbert and Flossy Barnhart of Kiefer, OK and Gail and Pauline Pittman of Kellyville, OK.

He is survived by parents David Leroy Barnhart of Kiefer and Paulette Van Camp of Glenpool; sons Chase Barnhart and wife Patrica of Broken Arrow and Corey Barnhart and wife Emily Washington of Sapulpa; daughter Brooke Barnhart of Sapulpa; grandchildren Chevy, Oliver and Theodore Barnhart; brother Jody Barnhart of Sapulpa and Carla Anderson and husband David Anderson of Glenpool, as well as numerous cousins.
