Karen Frances
Hoover
April 10, 1959 – May 14, 2025
It is with deep sadness that the family of Karen Frances Jackson-Hoover announces her peaceful passing on May 14, 2025.
Karen was born on April 10, 1959, in Sapulpa, OK to Frances Irene (Moore) Jackson and William Briggs Jackson, Jr.
In 1978, she gave birth to her daughter, Amy Redus Stephens. Later in life she married Buck Hoover and gained a bonus daughter in Leigh Ann (Hoover) Oxford. Karen and Buck subsequently divorced, but they remained best friends, until his passing in 2017.
She attended Kellyville High School. Karen could always be found doing volunteer work for the community such as the Ladies Auxiliary for the VFW, Bingo at DAV and American Legion. She was an avid rock collector, enjoyed playing bingo and pool while partaking in her favorite drinks – White Russian and Hot Damn. In her glory days of pool playing, she was a part of the Red Snappers alongside Clay Hedrick and Marc McMunn.
She is survived by, her daughter Amy and her partner Jason Harbison, Grandchildren: Gage Lawrence, Paytin Lucas and wife Cat, Luke Lucas and Kylee McCrea and Breydon Stephens and wife Bree. Siblings: Gary Jackson and wife Kim, Eric Jackson, Alan Jackson and wife Tammy. Great-Grandchildren: Adrian, Brantley, Mayve, KyLyn and Kyrie. Nieces and Nephews: Craig and Meredith Jackson, Joe Jackson, Casey Meyer and husband Alex, Jennifer Forrest and husband Austin. As well as many great nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was a bonus mom/grandma and had claimed all "extra" kids like they were her own, including Logan Clark, the Hollingsworth boys, Brooke and Lauren, Devyn Diffee, Tyler Rice and so many more. She was also Aunt Karen to Billy, Shawn, and Stevi along with their children. Close friends in her recent years that provided and cared for her are Amy Barnes, Angie DeMoss and the girls from Pony Express. She is preceded in death by her parents, nephew Matthew Jackson, Aunt Dorothy Williams and Aunt Polly Putman.
Services will be May 22nd at 2pm at Traditions in Kellyville with food fellowship to follow at the VFW Event Center.
