Lando Russell, 61, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. He was born in Dumas, Texas on August 31, 1958 to Merle Ray Kellogg and Dianna Wilson.
Lando was an over the road, owner operator, Truck Driver for over 36 years. He loved what he did and had a strong work ethic. He loved to tell stories about his travels all over the United States, Canada and Mexico. He was very proud that in all the years he was on the road, he never had an accident. His CB handle on the truck was, "The Wanderer" which was after his favorite song by Dion. He truly was "The Wanderer". Lando will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Lando is survived by his three children Lando Russell Jr. and his wife Mary of Georgia, Angela Russell and her husband David White of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Nina May Dye and her husband Joshua of Prague, Oklahoma; grandchildren Katey, Caleb and Jensen; sisters Shari Golden and Lori Russell and a large host of other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by both his parents Merle Ray and Dianna; brother Monte Russell Sr.; his beloved grandmother Gladys Wilson and his favorite uncle Junior Gibson.
There will be a family visitation Friday, May 29, 2020 between 6-8 p.m at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Graveside services will be Saturday, May 30, 2020, 10:00 a.m. at Sunrise Cemetery in Kellyville.
Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, Oklahoma, 918-247-7373.
