Larry D. Blackburn stepped into heaven February 1, 2024, while at home with his family. Larry was born in Fort McClellan, Alabama. He was a graduate of Pine Bluff High School and went on to study drafting and structural engineering. He worked in the industry for 55 years and loved working with steal, he called it a grown man's erector set.

Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was an avid reader, enjoyed golf, fishing and watching wildlife around his home.

Larry was preceded in death by his father James H. Blackburn, his mother Johnny Levels Boyd and sister Lila Madsen.

He is survived by his wife Abby Blackburn, son Michael Bailey, 2 sisters Sharon Taylor, and Vickie Calahan, his chosen daughter Dawn Long, her husband Chris Long and 2 grandchildren Krista and Chase.
