Lawrence "Wayne" Dobson 81, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, August 4, 2024, at his home.  He was born April 24, 1943, in Bokoshe, Oklahoma to Thomas and Nora Mae Dobson.

Wayne was a graduate of Rogers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After high school he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served 3 tours in Vietnam.

After his time in the service, he was employed as a Stationary Engineer for Blue Cross and Blue Shield Insurance Company and later retired from Tulsa City County Library in the same field of work.

Wayne was a past Master of the Sapulpa Masonic Lodge #170 a member of Daylight Lodge #542 and a member of the Tulsa Scottish Rite.

He loved his family dearly and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He had a caring and compassionate heart and will be dearly missed by all.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Nora Dobson and brother Don Dobson.

He is survived by his wife Cassy of the home; daughters Kimberly Martin and husband Kevin of Sapulpa and De Anna Dodd and husband Deber of California; sons Donnie Dobson and wife Roxanne of California and Larry Dobson; grandchildren Hadley, Tatum, Kacy Jo and Amanda.

Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, August 8, 2024, and Funeral Service will be 10:00 am, Friday, August 9, 2024, both at the Traditions Funeral Chapel.  Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services 35 S Main in Kellyville, OK 918-247-7373.
