O. Brumley, Jr.
April 10, 1941 – August 24, 2020
On August 24th,2020, at the age of 79 years, at home surrounded by family and friends; Lawrence Otto (Bobo) Brumley, left this world peacefully. Bo was born on April the 10th of 1941 to Obereta and Lawrence Otto.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; mother-in-law and father-in-law June and John Philpott; son Steven Lawrence; siblings Clyde, Charlie, Ruth, Helen, Sally, Frankie, Donnie, Rosie, Punkin, Tommy and Baby Brenda.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years Renee; children Jake and fiancée Robin, Jeff, Ashly and fiancée Tony and Sandy and Tootie Hasty; daughter-in-law Christie Brumley; grandchildren Clint, Jyssi, Coleton, Beau, Kyrin Otto, Stevi Mae and Toby Leo; sisters Billie ( John ) Robinson; Debbie ( Phillip) Billingsly and Cletus (Rich) Bussett sister-in-law and brother-in-law Debbie and David Gibson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Donald Philpott and Mary Guffey, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Kendall and Lisa Smith, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Calvin and Anita Philpott, brother-in-law Pete, sister-in-law Pam Callehan and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Mike and Sue Philpott.
Bo proudly served his country from 1967-1969, during the Vietnam Era. He served in the Army as an E4 specialist with the 4th Infantry from 1967-1968 in Vietnam of which only 3 returned home. Bo remained in contact with them all until his passing.
Bo loved to hunt, fish, garden, garage sale and most of all spending time with his grandbabies.
He spent all the time he could enjoying his time outdoors and all the glories of his God's work. Bo never faltered with his faith, even during the most trying times. He always said, " Our God is an Awesome God".
Pallbearers will be Jake Brumley, Clint Brumley, Jerry Don Brumley, Gary Brumley, Rusty Jackson, Scott Robinson, Chad Billingsly and Jeremy Billingsly. Honorary bearers are Kendall Smith, Tom English, David Gibson and too many nieces and nephews to mention. Bo was loved by so many and the family thanks you for all your condolences and prayers.
There will be a visitation from 6-8pm, Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Services will be 2:00pm, Friday, August 28, 2020 also at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville with burial at Kellyville City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, Oklahoma, 918-247-7373.
