Leatrice Kaye (Watashe) Sapulpa, a resident of Sapulpa, OK, was born to George and Mary Watashe at St. John Hospital on August 11, 1962. She went to be with the Creator, July 1, 2020. She was 57 years old. Her life was shared with her husband, Merle Sapulpa since 2012. She lived and grew up in and around the Kellyville area. As a child, she attended Jones Academy and Kellyville Public Schools. Finally, she attended Sequoyah Boarding School through her high school years. At one time, she had her own business escorting oversized truck loads called "On the Go". At the time of her death she was retired and living her best life. She loved to travel when the opportunity would arise. However, what made the happiest was watching her grandchildren play sports. She WAS an avid OU fan until her granddaughter, Kailyn, verbally committed to TU. She and Merle were members of Dove Ministries, but they also attended services at other surrounding churches.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Mary Watashe; siblings Sutta Bryant, "Big Lou" Spencer, Valetta "Biscuit" Anderson, Kenny, Ronnie, and Lucy Watashe.
She is survived by husband Merle Sapulpa of the home with his children and grandchildren; 2 sons Raymond and Jacci Bearpaw their children Jagger, Kamdin, Ioan, tagOfanE, and King from Glenpool and Joshua Bearpaw his children Keland, Kailyn, Kylar, Kale, and yaTE from Sapulpa. Finally, her sisters, Katie and "Sonny" Bucktrot from Tulsa and Aleta "Chub" Watashe from Kellyville. Plus, a very long list of nieces, nephews, and friends. She will forever be remembered for her humor, her laugh, her support, and her strength. Rest easy Lea, Lea.
