Obituary

Leila Ann Hixon, 82, of Sapulpa passed from this life Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She was born December 18, 1938 to Robert and Genevieve (Bury) Higgins in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Leila worked and retired from Alloy Welding Supply in Sapulpa.  After retirement she was blessed to travel with her soulmate Ron and their faithful companion Bentley.  Leila and Ron were members of two RV clubs which allowed them to meet many lifelong friends.  On weekends you could find her cheering on her two favorite teams, the OU Sooners and the Green Bay Packers.  Leila had a compassionate heart and was loved deeply.  She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Leila is survived by her daughters Brenda Kemp (Lionel) of Broken Arrow, Linda Salzman (Salz) of Tomah, Wisconsin, Shari Hargrove (Steve) of Mounds, Kari Ryburn (Robert O'Ferrall) of Bixby and Rhonda Welch (Tony) of Catoosa; special niece Theresa McKee (Dennis) of Sapulpa; grandchildren Benjamin Hamilton, William Hamilton, Somer Herzik, Kendalle Unger (Phil), Chad Hargrove, Brad Hargrove, Stephanie Redding (Ronnie), Casey Ryburn, Kayla Frye (Dustin) and Tonya Pogue (Joseph); 10 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 28 years Ronald Hixon; her parents Robert and Genevieve Higgins; brother Michael Higgins and son-in-law Denny Wagner.

Services will be 2:00pm, Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the First Christian Church, 220 E. Lee, Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, Oklahoma, 918-247-7373.
