April Watashe, 61, of Sapulpa, passed from this life Monday, February 5, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. She was born April 19, 1962, in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Cleve DeRoin and JoAnn McCann.

April was a graduate of Sequoyah High School where she met and married Vincent Watashe and they were blessed to have three children. She presumed her career as a CNA after raising her children. She was employed at the Gardens Nursing Home in Sapulpa until her health began to decline and she retired.

She loved summer and enjoyed being at the lake with her family. She enjoyed having fun and always knew how to have a good time. She loved her children and enjoyed being with them when she could. She adored her grandchildren and loved watching them play. Family was everything to her.

April is survived by her loving spouse Mike Husman of 17 years. He stayed by her side and was there for her from beginning until the end... he never left her side. She is preceded in death by her husband Vincent Watashe; parents Cleve DeRoin and JoAnn McCann and siblings Rose Johntson and Doris DeRoin.

April is survived by her children Donnell Watashe, DeAnn Mouse and Michael Watashe; grandchildren Donavin, Helki (Sissy), SaNora, Isaiah, Kaitlyn, Evelyn, T.J., Jaccyln, Brookly, Gage, Riley and Lucas; great-grandchildren Zaylee, Zaiden, Holcomb, Saniyah Watashe; brothers Frank DeRoin, John DeRoin and Charlie DeRoin and sister Stella BoDine.

Wake services will be 6pm, Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Community Indian Baptist Church in Sapulpa. Services will be 2pm, Friday, February 9, 2024, also at Community Indian Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services.
