Obituary
Lonny Leo Simonds, 70, of Okmulgee, passed from this life Saturday, February 27, 2021. Lonny was born December 25, 1950 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Leo G. and Doris L. (Fox) Simonds.
After graduation Lonny joined the US Army National Guard. Lonny never met a stranger; he was truly a friend to all. He enjoyed going to horse auctions, rodeo's, and flea markets.
Lonny is survived by his spouse Patricia of Tulsa; mother Doris Simonds of Sapulpa; daughters Sarae Powers and husband Jon of Savannah, Tennessee and Katie Whitmer and husband Ryan of Tulsa; grandchildren Chelsea Glenn and husband Andrew of Bristow, Anthony Powers of Tulsa, Austin Powers of Tulsa, Cayden Whitmer of Tulsa and Jaxxon Whitmer of Tulsa; great-grandchildren Addison, Gunner and Colt Glenn of Bristow.
Lonny was preceded in death by his father Leo Simonds and one brother Allen Simonds.
The family would like to thank Encompass Hospice for their special care and also his home health and special thanks to Melissa for all she did for Lonny.
There will be a visitation
from 6pm-8pm, Tuesday, March 2, 2021
at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Services will be
2pm, Wednesday, March 3, 2021
also at Traditions Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Beggs Cemetery in Beggs, Oklahoma.
