Lorene LaVaughn Brown entered rest on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. LaVaughn Brown was born February 15, 1921, in Keifer, Oklahoma to Harley and Edna Covington, long time members of First Christian Church in Sapulpa.

She is preceded in death by her husband James Clinton Brown, May 13, 1919 - July 15, 2010. LaVaughn and Jim were married December 24, 1941, and were blessed to be married over 69 years.

Jim and LaVaughn were members of the First Christian Church in Sapulpa since 1953, serving in almost every capacity possible. They were both baptized in 1954 by Chuck DeVore, son Jimmy was baptized in 1957 and later daughter Debbie was baptized by Bro. Woolsey. The family was blessed to grow up in faith and a Christian home.

LaVaughn is survived by son Jimmy Brown and wife Sandy; daughter Debra Miller and husband Rusty; grandchildren Misty McCaslin and husband Johnnie and Shelley Montamat; great-grandchildren Victoria Cates and husband Bobby and J.D. Fabor.

Graveside services will be 2pm, Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Sapulpa. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, OK, 918-247-7373 .
