It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Loretta May (Murphy) McWhirt. She died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Kellyville Oklahoma on January 14 ^th , 2022, succumbing to a prolonged illness. Born in Marysville California on March 10, 1947, to Gussey and Roy Murphy, Loretta grew up surrounded by a large and loving family.

Loretta married the love of her life, William T. McWhirt (Ted) at the age of 18. As the wife of a Navy Sailor, she traveled the United States extensively and had her hands full raising two sons and two daughters. As a mother and grandmother, she was generous, loving and kind.

She is survived by her husband Ted, sons William and Michael, her daughter Tracy, 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members.

The family and extended family will attend a private celebration of life ceremony, no public service is planned at this time.
