Lou Etta Barnett Lane, 93, went to be with her Lord after peacefully passing at her home in Sand Springs, OK on Friday, November 8, 2019.
She was born on November 2, 1926, in Oilton, OK to Otis M Barnett and Luler May Irons Barnett.
She graduated from Depew High School, Depew, OK in 1945.
Lou Etta was a young waitress in Depew, OK and married her high school sweetheart, James Carl Lane on June 12, 1948, and they were happily married for 60 years. They had three children, Jim, born September 22, 1950; Carla, born February 23, 1954; and Jeff, born July 25, 1965.
Lou Etta and her late husband Carl were active members of Beams of Light Tabernacle in Tulsa, OK for many years, where she served as church secretary and vacation Bible school director. Thereafter, they became members of First Grace Church in Glenpool, OK. In later years, and because it was closer to home, Lou Etta and Carl began worshipping at Sapulpa Beams of Light Church in Sapulpa, OK.
She is survived by her three children: her son and daughter in law, Jim and Janet Lane of Wagoner, OK; her daughter and son in law, Carla and Granville Tinsley of Sand Springs, OK; and her son and daughter in law, Jeff and Jeanette Lane of Lawton, OK. Additionally, she is survived by her ten grandchildren: Kim Lane of Tulsa, OK; Wes Lane and his wife Teresa of Cheyenne, WY; Michael Barto and his wife Diana of Waconia, MN; Chad Barto and his wife Sharmi of Tulsa, OK; Shane Barto and his wife Lacy of Bristow, OK; Michelle Cannon and her husband Ryan of Wagoner, OK; Amanda Fourkiller and her husband Rod of Wagoner, OK; Lance Barto and his wife Hanna of Mannford, OK; Jarod Lane and his wife Rachel of Bixby, OK and Jenna Alston and her husband Lance of Lawton, OK. Likewise, she is survived by twenty-eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild whom she was proud to have welcomed into the family just last month. She is also survived by her brother-in-law: Jack Lane of Depew, OK and her two sisters-in-law: June Hilbert of Depew, OK and Dean Barnett of Owasso, OK, as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Luler Barnett. Her husband Carl Lane, her two brothers: Leon Barnett and Leroy Barnett, her three sisters: Alice Barnett, Martha Quinlan, and Juanita Holland; her father and mother-in-law Howard and Stella Lane; her brothers-in-law: Jack Neese, Kenneth Hilbert, and Pete Holland; and her sisters-in-law: June Lane and Mary Ellen Neese.
There will be a visitation from 2:00pm-4:00pm, Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Services will be 10:00am, Tuesday, November 12, 2019, also at Traditions Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, Oklahoma, 918-247-7373.
