Obituary

Marc Fields, 79, passed away on December 25, 2025. He was born in Claremore, Oklahoma, and spent most of his life in Sapulpa. He later lived in Lake Jackson, Texas, before eventually returning to his hometown of Sapulpa.

Marc proudly served in the United States Marine Corps as a Vietnam veteran, reaching the rank of Master Sergeant. He carried that pride and discipline with him throughout his life and remained deeply proud of both his Marine brotherhood and his Creek heritage.

Marc lived a life of service, commitment, and hard work. He served as a Police Officer with the Tulsa Police Department, worked as an electrician for Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, Texas, and later served as a Criminal Investigator for the Creek and Cherokee Nations. He was baptized at Little Cussetah Baptist Church. Marc will be remembered for his strength, resilience, sense of humor, and the love he had for his family.

He is survived by his son, Greg Fields, and his wife Heather; his daughter, Kami Lowry, and her husband Brian; his grandchildren, Alyssa Fields, Matt Fields, Ethan Fields, Alexis Fields, and Bryce Lowry; his sister, Bennie Anita Baltou; his brother, Will Fields; first cousins Naomi Pickering and Carmelita Leyva; and second cousin Wyman Mathews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marina Wildcat and Johnson Fields.

Pallbearers will be Coy Jenkins, Will Fields, Ethan Fields, Bryce Lowry, Kim Howard, and Erik Harlan.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Lowry and Joey Starkey.

A viewing will be held Sunday, January 4th, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Little Cussetah Baptist Church in Sapulpa, with burial and military honors to follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.

Marc will be deeply missed and remembered by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
