Margaret "Sue" Young age 77 years 1 month 7 days resided in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, stepped into Glory on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at 9:30pm in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Sue was born on July 11, 1944, to Curtis Johnson and Margaret Elizabeth (Spurgeon) Johnson in Jay, Oklahoma.
On August 13, 1962, Sue married John T. Young and they were happily married for 38 years when Johnny was called to his Heavenly home on June 16, 2001. They had three daughters Darla Jo, Debra Sue and Dana Michelle.
Sue loved spending time with her family be it fishing, playing rummy with grands or going to Hobby Lobby or Goodwill. The Lord Glorious saved Sue in January 1984. She was a faithful member of Hilldale Holiness Church for 35 years where she was a children's Sunday School teacher for 34 years. In 2019 Sue had the privilege of calling Bethany Holiness Church her home and she attended faithfully until her passing.
Sue is survived by two daughters Debbie and husband Marty Stickler of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Dana and husband Richard Huerta of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; two granddaughters Kylie and husband Brent Blair of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and Amber and husband Brandon Flowers of Mannford, Oklahoma; three grandsons Drew and wife Allie Huerta of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Zach and wife Destiny Stickler of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Ryan Huerta of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; five honorary grandchildren Amy Thomas Bighorse of Scottsdale, Arizona, Betty Anne Thomas of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Holly Thomas of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Beth Thomas of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Noah Thomas of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; one brother Burll and wife Susie Johnson of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; two sisters Donna and husband Earl Ellis of Locust Grove, Oklahoma and Barbara Johnson Thomas of Jenks, Oklahoma; five great-grandchildren with two on the way and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Sue is preceded in death by her husband Johnny Young and daughter Darla Jo Young. Her parents Curtis and Margaret Johnson and three brothers Virgil, Arlie and Larry Johnson.
Sue loved with her whole heart, she was lovingly called either Grandma Sue or Aunt Sue by almost everyone that knew her and if you knew her you couldn't help but love her! This is not goodbye but see you later.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:30pm, Monday, August 23, 2021, at Bethany Holiness Church, 15508 W 61st St. South, Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Services will be 11:00am, Tuesday, August 24, 2021, also at Bethany Holiness Church in Sand Spring with burial to follow at Mose Ridge Cemetery in Jay, Oklahoma.
