Mary Kathryn Chesher, 79, of Sapulpa, passed from this life Wednesday, February 12, 2025. She was born November 5, 1945, in Columbus, Ohio to Nelson Leroy and Mary (Betty) Elizabeth Carrel.

Mary also known as Gracie to some was employed as a bartender at the VFW in Sapulpa and was employed as a cashier at Grocery Express also in Sapulpa. She enjoyed volunteering VFW and was known for being a mean cook, she also enjoyed 50's music, dancing and spending time with family and friends. She was feisty, loved being around people and had an incredibly kind soul and was always willing to help others in need. She was loved deeply and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents Nelson and Mary Carrel; brother Jimmy Carrel and sister Barbara Valette.

Mary is survived by her children Stephen Chesher, Cindy Chesher and Angela Wood; brothers Tommy Carrel and Kevin Carrel; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and many other distant family members.
