Mary Pauline (Jones) Nichols, 79, of Sapulpa, went to be with the Lord on September 12, 2023.
Pauline was born on July 26, 1944, in Knob Lick, Missouri to Paul & Clara Jones. Pauline met the love of her life, Orville Nichols, & the two shared 55 wonderful years together.
Pauline was employed for many years at Liberty Glass and then worked for 25 years for the Army Corps of Engineers.
She enjoyed spending time with her husband, family, & friends. Together, she & Orville built their home, raised four children, and enjoyed the outdoors while fishing, hunting, camping, and spending much of their time at the lake.
Pauline was a true embodiment of being a partner to her husband. Their 55 years together is a testament to their friends & family of what being a partner and loyal friend means. Her strength in loving others & facing adversity has been a witness to those around her of her personal strength & dedication as well as God's love & mercies. She was loved by many & will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her son Michael Hughes & wife Cindy, Daughter Paula Simmons & husband Keith, Daughter Judy Grigg & Billy; Grandchildren Chris Hughes & Cesare, Paul & Lizzie Hughes, Kala & Kevin Butler, Daniel & Brittany Simmons, Richie Horner, Donny Horner, Rusty & Michelle Harris, & Jennifer & David Eddleman; Numerous Great Grandchildren; Sister Threasia Gill, Brother William E. Jones & a host of other relatives & friends.
Pauline was preceded in death by her loving husband Orville Nichols, parents Paul & Clara Jones, daughter Debbie Wheeler, brother Melvin Jarnagin, & grandson Billy Harris.
Services will be Friday, September 15th at 10:00 a.m. at Traditions Funeral & Cremation in Kellyville, OK with graveside services at Green Hill Cemetery in Sapulpa immediately following. Family & friends are welcome to attend a potluck at the American Legion in Sapulpa at 105 E. Lee following services.
