Obituary

Mary Pamala (Pam) Sternke passed from this life on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at St Francis Hospital. The memorial service will be held at St Andrew Lutheran Church in Sand Springs, OK on Saturday, January 25th at 11 am and Minister Paul Ozbun will be officiating.

Pam was born on March 31, 1959 in Wichita KS to Arden and Dorothea Sternke. She graduated from Sand Springs High School in 1978. She began working at K-Mart in 1976 where she worked until the store closed in 2014. Pam loved working and was devastated when she was physically unable to continue. She liked to cook large meals and do crafts. She enjoyed being outdoors, working in her flower beds, growing herbs, and sitting in the yard watching the wildlife.

Pam was a devoted mother, good friend, a great listener, and loyal to a fault. She believed her greatest accomplishment to be her son, Bob, whom she often said was her whole world. She loved him immeasurably and treasured the time they spent together, talking about anything and everything.

She was very independent and did not like to ask for assistance. She was stubborn and once she made up her mind about something it was impossible to change it. Through all of her physical pain with Reynard's Disease and Rheumatoid Arthritis, she never complained or let it control her life.

Pam is survived by her son, Bob; her father, Arden, her sister, Beth Hough and husband Charles; brother, Denny and his wife Kathy, step brother Doug McCarroll and his wife Lorraine, step brothers Donald, and David McCarroll, step sisters Marsha Nelson and Julie Jones and her husband Tim, several nieces and nephews, cousins, and their families.

Pam is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothea, her step mother, Jackie, and her nephew, Shawn Hough.

Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, Oklahoma, 918-247-7373
