Obituary

Maxine Stockton Bailey was born on September 5, 1940 in Catoosa OK to George "Everett" Stockton and Mildred Harris Stockton. She departed this life in Sapulpa, OK on January 1, 2021 at 80 years, 3 months and 27 days. She was born the 3 rd of 5 children.

She attended school in Catoosa graduating in the Class of 1958. While in her high school years she was a state champion basketball and softball player winning many trophies and awards.  She continued playing both sports into her 30's.

After graduation she married Freddie Conley and from this union two children were born, Cheryl Conley Alsup and Jim Conley.

Maxine loved life and her family, even though she has been in bad health for several years, she loved spending time with family and going to family reunions. One of her favorite things was spending time at the lake with her sister, Denice and Denice's husband, Clyde and all of their friends. She loved playing board games and cards with anyone that wanted to play and the only ones she would "let win" were the great grandkids.

Maxine was a hard worker always holding down two and sometimes three jobs to help support her family along with all of the household duties moms have to do. She also took care of her elderly father until his death. She did this most of her life until her health would no longer let her.

Maxine is proceeded in death by her granddaughter Amanda Alsup, her parents Everett Stockton and Mildred Baker, her brother Tommie Stockton, and sister Louise Stockton Kemp.

She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Conley Alsup and husband Tim of Sapulpa and her son Jim Conley and wife Melody of Tulsa: Grandchildren Monica Conley Addison of Sapulpa, Mallary Alsup Goforth and husband Andrew of Sapulpa, and Scott Conley of Tulsa: Great grandchildren Ava Pray, Evan Pray, Jase Addison, Melanie Goforth and Abigail Goforth all of Sapulpa: Sisters Syliva Allwein and husband Harry  of New Mexico, Denice Miller and husband Clyde of Wagoner,  and brother  Dwayne  Stockton  and  wife Claudia of Texas. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that she loved so much.

Our Mom, Grandma, GG and Sister was one of a kind and will be greatly missed, but we will see her again and what a joyous reunion that will be. Until then Mom rest in peace as you truly deserve it, your struggles are over.
