IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Dewayne
Peterson
November 12, 1965 – October 12, 2022
Michael Peterson 56, of Kellyville went to be with the Lord peacefully on October 12, 2022, in Tulsa, surrounded by family and friends.
Michael was born on November 15, 1965, in Sapulpa to Keith and Donna Peterson. He attended Kellyville Schools and worked side by side with his dad from the age of 12 years old for Peterson Backhoe Service where he discovered his passion for welding. Michael continued to excel in his pipeline welding career and was featured in Oklahoma pipeline magazines for his skills.
Michael truly lived life to the fullest through all his adventure seeking thrills. He developed his love for speed throughout his childhood riding dirt bikes with his family. Michael continued this love for speed at the Creek County Speedway, racing mini sprints with his brother Mark where the whole family spent many Friday nights. In his early twenties he could be found at the rodeo riding bulls. While he was an adventure seeker, Michael did enjoy the simpler things throughout his life like riding horses, country dancing, playing guitar and had a wide variety of musical talents and interests. Besides spending time with family and friends, Michael was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, snacking and throwing down on the grill. Michael had a huge heart, told colorful stories, and loved unselfishly. Above all he loved spending time with his children and family.
He is preceded in death by his father Keith Peterson; grandson Keith; grandparents, and other relatives.
He is survived by his children Darece Gayer and husband Jeremy, Kaitlynn Jones, Dustin, Hunter, Tucker and wife Skyler, Dalton and Kaley Peterson; grandchildren Reece, Wiley, Mia, Arazely, Kenlee, Bodhi, Alexander and Sawyer; mother Donna Peterson; brothers Russell, Mark and wife Sheila, Billy and wife Lela; sister Angela Kendrick and husband Dallas, and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
