Obituary

Mitchell Lyle Newton, 61, of Beggs, passed from this life and entered his heavenly eternal home on Friday October 25, 2019. He was surrounded by his family and many friends. He was born March 12, 1958 in Port Arthur, Texas to Robert and Phyllis Newton. His family moved to Oklahoma, where Mitchell attended Sapulpa Schools and later moved to Kellyville High School where he graduated in 1976.

Mitchell was very outgoing and an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed chuck wagon races and roping. Mitchell truly enjoyed working. He was a very hard worker, and also enjoyed baling hay. He worked the last 18 years for The Watts Company. Mitchell had many great friends, as he was the kind of guy you couldn't help but like. He was a talker and he loved to visit. You always knew how you stood with him and how he felt about things because he was not a man that was afraid to speak his mind. He told it just how he felt it, no gray areas, no beating around the bush. Something you must admire about a man.

Mitchell loved his family and his friends. He married the love of his life, Rebecca on December 2, 1995, a date they both had a problem remembering. Mitchell was loved by his family and friends and words can't express the deep sorrow that is felt by his passing, but we rejoice in the fact that he is now with his Lord and Savior and the victory is his!

Mitchell is survived by his loving wife Rebecca of the home; children David Newton and his wife Melissa of Skiatook, Jaymee Bahr and her husband Austin of Beggs, Clint Newton of Beggs and Kyle Newton of Beggs; grandchildren Wyatt Newton, Avery Bahr, Shooter Bahr, Rachel Newton, Stetson Bahr and MaKenna Bahr; brother and sisters Randy Newton of Beggs, Pam Jarman of Checotah and Rhonda Williams of Catoosa; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Newton and Phyllis Heath-Newton.
