IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Myrtle Ann
Cughan
August 27, 1950 – April 1, 2025
Myrtle Ann Cughan, 74, of Sand Springs, stepped into heaven, Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
Ann was born August 27th, 1950, in Isola Mississippi to Onia and Betty Rosson. She graduated from Hill City High School, in Hill City Kansas where she met and married David Hoppe, the father of her three children. Ann went back to school and received her nursing degree as an LPN, the first step in her God given calling. She worked as a nurse in Tulsa Oklahoma and Florida. God placed in her heart a desire to nurse and care for her patients which she did with love.
Ann began a new chapter of her life with her second Husband, Tim Cughan. They resided in Forida for several years. Upon their return to Oklahoma, she worked at Visiting Angel as a companion for the elderly. Ann had a passion for nursing and caregiving, particularly when working with older adults.
Ann faithfully served her Lord and devoted 37 years to serving in her home churches, Living Word Tabernacle in Sapulpa and later at Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church of God in west Tulsa.
Throughout the years she served as a children's church leader and Sunday School teacher, church camp counselor and nurse. She sang on the praise team, and she was the food pantry director at Faith Tabernacle where she distributed food to the needy. It is certainly true she had a ministry of helps. She considered it an honor to help her pastors, and it was her servant's heart to help and encourage everyone she could.
Ann was a long-time member of the Sand Springs Aglow where she served in the ministry as the public relations representative. She loved her Aglow sisters and enjoyed serving alongside them in the ministry of helping others and building the kingdom in her community of Sand Springs.
Ann is predeceased by her parents Onia and Betty Rosson Sr., brothers Clifford, Wayne, and Dale Rosson, and husband Tim Cughan.
Ann is survived by her sons, David Allen (Bettie) Hoppe and Timothy (Alisha) Hoppe; her daughter Deanna Hoppe; a goddaughter Haley Putman; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers Onia (Debbie) Rosson Jr. and Bobby (Tammy) Rosson; two sisters Debra (Michael) Doherty and Susan (Marshal) Crone; many much-loved nieces, nephews, friends, and her beloved fur baby King Titus.
