Norma June (Hill) Thompson, 86, of Sapulpa, left earth bound for her eternal home in heaven on September 9, 2023. Norma was born in Tamaha, Oklahoma to James Clyde Hill and Helen Boggs Hill on September24, 1936.
Norma contracted polio at the age of five and endured countless hospital stays and reconstructive surgeries throughout her young life. She graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1955 and married soon after. She became Norma Thompson and raised three children on her own. She attended business school and was employed by Maytag and then Bartlett Memorial Hospital. She retired from Bartlett after 42 years working in accounting, payroll, and human resources.
She kept busy after retirement volunteering at Sapulpa Historical Museum. She was a member of South Heights Assembly of God Church. She loved to read, work puzzles, was an excellent cook, and loved fashion.
Her life was not always easy, but she lived it fully and without complaint. Norma dedicated her life to the Lord and was a prayer warrior for family and friends.
Norma has one sister Shirley Bullock and three brothers: Richard D. Hill, James D. Hill, and Joe Hill; t hree children: Diane Muselmann and husband John, Phyllis McCarthy and husband Dan, and Wayne Thompson- Carla Thompson-Lortz; eight grandchildren: Chad McCarthy, Jil Hamlin and husband Justin, Jacob Muselmann, Mollie Muselmann, Rachel Muselmann, Anna Muselmann, Matthew Thompson, and Tyler Thompson.
Norma is preceded in death by her son Wayne Thompson, her brother Joe Hill, and her parents James C. and Helen Hill.
Norma will be forever loved and missed dearly by her family and friends left behind.
Services will be 2pm, Friday, September 15, 2023, at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Service, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, 918-247-7373 .
