Obituary

Patricia Ann Watkins, 85, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, passed to her heavenly home on Monday, November 3, 2025, in Sapulpa.

Patricia was born October 7, 1940, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, to James Perry and Eula Belle Brown Morgan. She graduated from Kellyville High School in the top 1% of her class.

On June 20, 1959, she married the love of her life, Grant Watkins, at June Rose Assembly of God in Sapulpa. The two had known each other since childhood and had been neighbors growing up.

Patricia was employed by Oral Roberts University for 10 years as a key punch operator. She was deeply involved in her church community, serving as a Sunday school teacher from the age of 17 at June Rose and Praise Fellowship. She volunteered as a chaplain for 12 years at the Creek County Women's Correctional Facility and was a prayer intercessor for 10 years with the Decade of Harvest. Patricia was also active in Women's Aglow Ministries and volunteered at First Assembly of God Church, helping with the food pantry and clothing donations. She and her best friend, Jan Townes from Texas, also participated in food delivery outreach as well as many other church ministries.

Patricia loved to cook—she was an amazing southern cook—and especially enjoyed cooking with her mother. As a child, she helped her father in the dairy barn, as well as with canning, gardening, and other farm work.

She was preceded in death by her parents James Perry and Eula Belle Morgan; siblings Perry Arnold Morgan, Ralph Jerome Morgan, Billy Bob Morgan, and Sandra Kay Duck.

She is survived by her husband, Grant Watkins; children Douglas Stewart Watkins (Robin), Cathey Ann Gowdy, and Teri Sue Lantz (Tony); siblings James Otis Morgan (Karen) and Pamela Sue Lynn (Larry); grandchildren Coleman Grant Gowdy, Candace Belle Gowdy, Cami Lauren Gowdy, Caden Ann Gowdy, Jadon Anthony Lantz (Kristen), and Adin Grant Lantz; and great-grandchildren Caelyn Ann Payne, Cartier Lee Simmons, Canaan Lauren Simmons, Cookie Sophia Simmons, Crue Grant Gowdy, and Greyson Tyler Ratcliff.
