Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Jean Dodson and sister, Delores Earnest.
Phyllis graduated from Prairie Valley High School in Seminole, Ok in 1960. She and Loren met in Seminole and were married October 8, 1962 in Holdenville. They moved and made their home in Sapulpa in 1968.
Forest Hills Baptist Church has been their church home for over 50 years. Over the years, Phyllis taught Sunday School, children's church, and played the organ and piano.
Phyllis loved cooking for her family, friends, and her church family, and was she ever good at it! She also loved attending her grandchildren's ballgames and activities. She was their biggest fan! Whether the games were in town, out of town, or out of state, Grandma was always in the stands!
Our hearts are broken, but we also have peace knowing that she is no longer suffering and is in the arms of her Savior.
It has been such a blessing for us to be able to care for mom at home. We are so thankful for Chelsea Pacheco from Amada Senior Care. She was mom's caregiver and took great care of her. Emerald Hospice (the best Hospice Company around) also took great care of mom. We would like to thank Kellie Craft, Lisa Levi, Theresa Norris, Jimmie Hooper, Jennifer Myers, Billy Terrell, Louise Brinker, Christa Criner and Courtney Wilson. They are the nurses and aides that took great care of mom and they will always hold a special place in our hearts, as well as Lacy Hedrick (Social Worker), Joel Powell (Chaplain), Brandy Davis and Matt and Lindsey Wilkey. We truly believe because of their love, care, and compassion we had mom a little bit longer!
