Richard Edward Darland, 70, of Sapulpa, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

Richard was born on May 9, 1955, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Firis James Darland and Rose Lee Cook. He attended Sapulpa High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Richard was a caring and loving man who cherished his family. The time he spent with those he loved was important to him, and he will be remembered for the love and care he showed his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Lee Cook; father, Firis “Jim” Darland; sister, Sandy Tuttle; and brother, Jimmy Darland.

Richard is survived by his sisters, Cathryn Moody and Gail Troll; brother, Ronald Gene Darland; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members, and friends.

Richard will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
