Richard "Rick" Gene Tilley 62, of Mason, stepped into Heaven on Monday, February 7, 2022. Rick was born February 24, 1959, in Sacramento, California to Richard and Bobbi (Beistle) Tilley. The family moved back to Mason, Oklahoma when Rick was 5 years old. He attended 1 ^st grade at Mason Public Schools. The family then moved to Depew where Rick went to 2 ^nd grade. After completing 2 ^nd grade, the family moved to Bristow where he attended Bristow Public Schools until he graduated Bristow High School in 1977. Rick had made Mason, Oklahoma his home for the last 35 years.

After graduating high school, Rick moved to Tulsa and attended trade school where he obtained his electrician license. Rick walked 5 miles daily to and from technical school so that he could further his education. He worked as a licensed electrician for over 40 years but was currently employed by Measurement Solutions the past 8 years.

Rick married Martha Wood on October 17, 1980, and from this union three children were born, Angela, April, and Richard "Sonny boy". Rick married Theda Smith in 1992 and from this union Melanie was born.

Rick enjoyed singing, writing his own songs, poetry, and creative arts in his spare time. He had a caring and compassionate heart and was always willing to give a helping hand when needed. He was genuinely the goofiest, warmest, most loving person you would ever want to meet. Rick had a way to make you laugh. You never came across him that you didn't get a hug...EVERY…SINGLE…TIME. Rick would have a smile on your face as soon as he entered the room. He was a special person to us all in his own unique way. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving mother and stepfather, Bobbi and Mike Newell, children Angela Tilley Linn, April Tilley Griffin,  and Melanie Jean Tilley and her children Olivia J LaNell and Sydney M Noelle Edmondson ; 8 Grandchildren;  Brothers Trent Looney and his wife Kim, Jake Tilley; Sister, Jeryn Fletcher and her husband Eddie; Nieces, Aimee Lopez, Morgan Looney, Mandi Horn, Jorden Dobelbower and Hailee Fletcher ; Nephews, Joshua  Johnson, Dalton Looney, Matthew Bethel, Dylan Long, and Jared Dobelbower;  and multiple great nieces and nephews as well as a host of other family and friends.

Rick is preceded in death by his grandparents Bob and Evelyn Beistle and Joe and Jean Tilley, his father Richard Gene Tilley, sisters Lisa Carole Miller (Tilley) and Linda Jo Abraham (Tilley), one granddaughter Emily Rhea Edmondson, Uncle Jim "Chip" Beistle and Aunt Carolyn "Missy" Hill.

Services will be Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 2pm at Faith Baptist Church in Slick, Oklahoma.
