Ricky Glenn Pickering, 69, of Sand Springs, OK., passed from this life on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

Ricky was born November 21, 1956 in Claremore, OK. He attended Sequoyah Indian High School in Tahlequah. He was employed in construction.

Ricky met and later married Cathy Walser. They were married 43 years. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Sand Springs. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandkids and watching old westerns.

Ricky had a caring and warm heart, always willing to help out. He was loved and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Edna Pickering, younger brother Zack Pickering and Phillip Eugene. Sister-in-law Colleen Pickering and sister Jonie Pickering.

He is survived by his wife Cathy and children Jake Walser and wife Misty, Curtis Walser and wife Jamie Kay. Grandchildren; Dixie Walser, Gatlyn Walser, Kaylee Walser and Haylee Walser. Sisters; Sally Hampton of Sapulpa, Jeanette Harjo, of Sapulpa. Brothers; James Pickering, of Sapulpa, Timothy and Betty Pickering of Eufaula, Charles and Cheryl Pickering of Sapulpa, Tom and Judy Pickering of Eufaula, Jeffrey Pickering of Sapulpa, Jay and Sandra Pickering of Sapulpa, Samuel Elliott Pickering and Sherry Payne of Tulsa, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Wake service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th from 6-8 pm at Traditions Funeral Home Chapel in Kellyville.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 17th at 2 pm at Traditions Funeral Home Chapel in Kellyville.
