Robert Irving (Bob) Lucas, age 94, Kellyville, OK, died peacefully at home on August 16, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born to Robert Wesley Lucas and Jeffie Irving Killian on February 1, 1929, in Bristow, Ok. He was a loving Christian husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and had many friends.

Bob graduated from Kellyville School, and from Northeastern State College, Tahlequah, OK with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. While serving in the U.S. Army in the Counter-Intelligence Corps during the Korean War, he married Margaret E. (Peggy) Edmiston on May 18, 1952.

Bob was employed by Texaco in Tulsa as a land man. He was also treasurer for Kellyville Public Schools and worked for the Creek County Rural Water Department.

Bob served on the Board of Creek County Water District at its inception. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Kellyville Lions Club, as well as a trustee of the Kellyville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling, bike riding and outings with the family. He also participated in many VIM (Volunteers in Mission) trips with the Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother, Tom. Loved ones who are left to mourn him are his wife, Peggy; his daughters, Libby Royal (Joe Don) and Kathy Hellard (Jeff); his sons, Steve Lucas (Sherry) and Kent Lucas (Sue); grandchildren Jennifer, Ashley, Brett, Andrew, Jason and Jana; 5 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Margaret Ann Lucas.

Visitation will be 6-8pm, Friday, August 18, 2023, at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, August 19, 2023, at the Kellyville United Methodist Church.
