Rodney Lee Prescott was born September 9, 1935 in Broken Bow, NE to Floyd and Ona Prescott. After graduating high school in Washington, IA he joined the Air Force. With postings in Texas and England Rodney traveled all over the world for training and missions.

Leaving the Air force in 1958 Rodney met and married Joan Elizabeth Rose in Boulder, CO. Joan had a daughter, Lorrie who quickly become the apple of Rodney's eye. Another daughter, Raeona, arrived a few years later, followed by a son, Devon. The Prescotts moved to Seattle, WA where both Rod and Joan worked at Boeing on various systems for the Boeing 747. The Prescotts moved to Arvada, CO where the marriage was dissolved in 1978. Rodney never remarried.

Rodney moved back to Iowa to be close to his parents where he lived until 2011. At that time Rod moved to Oklahoma to be closer to his children and grandchildren.

He was a man of good humor who was quick with a smile and a helping hand. Like his father before him, Rodney aspired to leave everything better than he found it.

Rodney passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019, in Claremore, OK. Rodney was preceded in death by his former wife, Joan; parents, Floyd and Ona; sister, Joan Hoyle.

He is survived by his three children, Lorrie Tanquary, Raeona Prescott, Devon Prescott; and grandchildren; Michael Worley, Ethan Prescott, Vivian Prescott and Elias Prescott; a great-grandson Jordan Worley and a great-great grandson Carson Worley; his sisters Dona Watson, Janet Janacek and Judy Janacek and many nieces and nephews.
