Ruth Imogene Mauzey, 96, of Sapulpa, passed from this life Sunday, November 13, 2022.  She was born May 2, 1926, in Newport, Arkansas. In her early years she was raised by her sister in the Sapulpa area.

Ruth married the love of her life, Wayne Mauzey, who was from Mounds, Oklahoma, after he returned from the war.  In the 1950's Ruth's family moved to California.  After a successful 38-year career with Bowing and as a motel owner she returned with her husband to Sapulpa.

Ruth was a true believer, reading the bible every night, and a devoted wife and mother.  She always placed God and her family above everything else.  She enjoyed serving our Lord and her church, she was the spiritual leader of her home. She worked very hard so her kids would have a better life. Her joy was watching her sons and grandchildren grow up and as everyone knows she was devoted to her dogs, spoiling them to a fault. She was loved deeply by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by 3 sons Ron, Don and Larry; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation 4:00pm-6:00pm, Friday, November 18, 2022, at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Mounds Cemetery in Mounds, Oklahoma.  Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S.
