Sam Palmer, 84, of Sapulpa, passed from this life on August 31, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Sam was born February 22,1939 in Bixby, OK to Cecil and Bertha Palmer.  He graduated from Berryhill High School in 1957. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army between 1961 - 1967. In 1965 he met the love of his life, Wanda (McCrory) Palmer whom he wed in 1966.

Sam worked for DX Sunoco in the transport division for many years before retiring in 1991. He was also involved in many civic activities; he participated in youth baseball, soccer and cub scouts and served on the Sapulpa Parks and Recreation Board for over twenty years.

Sam leaves behind his wife Wanda of Sapulpa, two sons: Gary Palmer of Sapulpa, and Craig Palmer and wife Melissa of Jenks, 5 grandchildren: Kierstin Gates of Berryhill, Jacob Palmer of Tulsa, Madison Hogan (and husband Tyler) of Ottawa, KS, Seth Palmer of Stillwater, and Braden Palmer of Sapulpa, 3 great-grandchildren: Tyler Gates, Hux Hogan and Maebry Hogan. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his sister, Sue Clark of Berryhill as well as many nieces and nephews and their children.

Services will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 2:00pm.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.
