In Loving Memory of Sharmaine Yvonne Haynes Vasquez
September 19, 1962 – September 19, 2025
Sharmaine Yvonne Haynes Vasquez stepped into Heaven on her 63rd birthday, September 19, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family and friends.
Born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to Wanda Williams and Jonas Haynes, Sharmaine grew up with a heart full of love and kindness. She graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1981 and went on to build a life centered around family, hard work, and service to others.
Sharmaine spent 12 years working at the Pop Shop in Sapulpa before serving as a surveillance officer for many years. Her strong work ethic and commitment to her community made her a cherished figure to many.
Above all, Sharmaine was a devoted mother to her three children, whom she loved more than life itself. She was a guiding light not only to them but to countless others. Known for her caring nature and selflessness, she was a mother to the motherless, always ready to open her heart and home to anyone in need. Her vibrant smile, warm presence, and giving spirit touched everyone she met.
In her spare time, Sharmaine enjoyed road trips, concerts, coloring, doing makeup and nails, and spending time with her grandchildren — her greatest joy.
She is lovingly survived by her children: James Mize, Marcy Rivera-Guardado, and Davina Baker; and her grandchildren: Jordan, Madison, Elicia, Julian, Aiyana, Kaydence, Giavanna, and Little Jimmy. She is also survived by her sister Laura McCormack and brothers Randy Haynes and John Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wanda Williams and Jonas Haynes.
Sharmaine's life was a testament to unconditional love, generosity, and unwavering strength. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
