Sherlene Marlow Bush, a beloved member of the Mannford community, entered Heaven peacefully on May 16, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on October 30, 1938, with her twin sister, Gerlene, in Abilene, Texas, Sherlene was known for her entrepreneurial spirit, her dedication to helping veterans, and her love for her family.

Sherlene's passion for entrepreneurship led her to own and operate various businesses and enterprises throughout her adult life. After a successful career, she retired from the State of Oklahoma. Sherlene was also an active member of the VFW, where she found great joy in supporting and assisting veterans.

Outside of her professional life, Sherlene enjoyed fishing, cooking, attending church, and spending quality time with her extended family. Known for her nurturing and loving nature, Sherlene had a wide circle of dear and close friends who cherished her presence.

Sherlene is survived by her older sister, Bonnie Keith of Tulsa, Oklahoma, her daughters Margie Leatherwood of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Claudia Pringle of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, as well as her two sons, Gary Leatherwood of Mannford, Oklahoma, and Larry Leatherwood of San Antonio, Texas. Her legacy will live on through her seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, who reside in both Texas and Oklahoma.

Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Lunch will be served at 1pm and services will begin at 2pm, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the New Hope Baptist Church in Mannford.
