Shirley Lea Ament sadly passed away Monday, March 20, 2023, at the age of 86.  She was born January 8, 1937, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Hollie and Leta Potter.

Shirley was a graduate of Sapulpa High School.  She retired from Southwestern Bell after 31 years and later worked for Security National Bank for another 10 years.

She was an active member of the First Christian Church in Sapulpa. She loved spending time with her family, working in her yard and cooking for her family and friends.  She was a very kind and caring person and had many friends.  She was loved deeply and will be missed greatly.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Hollie and Leta Potter; sisters Betty Whitten and Jane Gremore and husband Tommy Ament.

She is survived by her daughter Sherry Rame and husband Barry; nephews Joe Landry and wife Angie, Jeff Landry and wife Kristi, Taylor Martindale, Sterling Price and wife Janet and Michael Englen and niece Irene Rawdon.

Memorial services will be 11:00am, Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the First Christian Church, 220 E. Lee Ave., Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, Oklahoma, 918-247-7373.
