Obituary

Susan Elaine Adams, 80, of Sapulpa, went to be with the Lord on May 30th, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family and friends.

Susan was born May 23rd, 1946 in Richmond, California to Victor Cecil Karn and Marie Josephine Heiner.

Susan married the love of her life, Gary Lee Adams, on November 11th, 1965. They were married 57 years until his passing in 2021. They had 3 children, Mark, Michele and Gary. They first raised their children in Modesto, California until moving to Sapulpa, Oklahoma in July of 1982.

As a family they enjoyed camping, horseback riding, farming, gardening and just spending time with family and friends making memories. Susan was a member of the Kellyville Round Up, so they spent many weekends at Rodeos with all the family.

Susan was a devoted child nutritionist for Sapulpa Middle School for over 30 years plus. She loved seeing the kids and insuring they always had a good healthy meal choice served with a beautiful smiling face. She loved her coworkers and considered them as family. Every year the ladies would travel to different states for conventions. She loved the memories they all made together. She truly cherished them all!

Susan is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Gary Lee Adams; her parents Victor Cecile Karn and Marie Josephine Heiner; son Mark Adams; sister Vicky Harris; brother Kenneth Karn; grandson Michael Adams; grandson in love Kendall Austin and great grandson Kendall “KJ” Austin Jr.

Susan is survived by daughter Michele Adams of the home; son Gary Lee Adams II, of Sapulpa; daughter-in-love Beth Adams of Sapulpa, daughter-in-love Anita Adams of Lucasville, Ohio; granddaughters Shannon Duncan (Broc) of Jackson, Ohio, Shelly Prior (John) of Shelbyville, Indiana, Brittany Bolton of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Destiny Adams of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; grandsons Tyler Adams of Lucasville, Ohio and Joshua Bolton (Krysten) of Kiefer, Oklahoma; granddaughter-in-love Staci Hoehner of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; great grandchildren Taylen, Kinlee, Zachary, Kaydin, Jaelynn, Kyrie, Kayson, Graham, Nash and a host of other family and friends.

Susan had a strong love for all her family and friends. She will always be known for her strong ability to love like no other and to show her family how to love others. She never spoke a bad word about others. Susan was the most sincere and genuine person you would meet. She will be truly missed.
