Tommy was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on December 7th, 1959, and passed away in the city of his birth on June 8th, 2024.

He will be remembered for his love of singing, playing guitar, and dedication to helping others achieve sobriety.

Growing up, Tommy loved singing and playing music.  He was named Sapulpa High School's Mr. Show-Biz in consecutive years and continued playing in various settings until his later years.

He is preceded in death by his father and stepmother Gail and Wilma Laidley, his mother Novella Rowen, his sister Deena Whitfield, and stepbrother Daniel Thompson.

He leaves behind his sons John and Mason Laidley and their spouses, his stepsister Linda Thompson, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, grandchildren James, Anna, and Derek Laidley, and his extended family at the Sapulpa Serenity Clubhouse.

Tommy was extremely proud of his victory over alcoholism and was active in the Sapulpa Serenity Group until his passing.  He achieved sobriety on October 15th, 2001, and considered this his actual birthday.  He was often found counseling new members, and never missed an opportunity to spread the knowledge of the Big Book.  His sons could not be prouder of him.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 am, Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, 918-247-7373.
