Obituary

Tonya (Banana) Lee, 60, of Kellyville, passed away peacefully at her home on September 3, 2025.

Tonya was born on August 19, 1965, to Shirley and George Spencer. She attended Sapulpa Public Schools and grew up in a home rooted in service and community.

On August 12, 1989, she married the love of her life, Kenneth Lee, and together they recently celebrated 36 years of marriage. Their love and devotion to one another were evident to all who knew them.

Tonya was a dedicated volunteer firefighter, serving alongside her husband and her parents for many years. She had a caring, compassionate heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her passion for serving others extended to her work with the Kellyville Senior Citizens, where she cooked meals for several years, and her involvement in Kellyville Heritage Days.

In her spare time, Tonya loved planning and going on motorcycle trips with Kenneth and dear friends Mike and Sean. She especially cherished spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.

Tonya had a strong work ethic and held various jobs throughout her life, including truck driving, operating a dump truck, and working at Standard Tobacco, KenTube, the Creek County Assessor's Office, and Zebco.

She shared a lifelong friendship with her best friend, Donna West, with whom she remained very close over the years.

Tonya is preceded in death by her father, George Spencer; her mother, Shirley Chisum; her stepfather, Vernon Chisum; and her baby brother, Vernon.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Lee of Kellyville; her daughter, Tanya Hutchins, and her partner Darin Jones, also of Kellyville; grandson Hayden Hutchins and his wife Kinzie of Hominy; granddaughters Madison Hutchins of Kellyville and Alex Hutchins, and her husband Jamicheal Jones of Virginia Beach; great-grandchild Hazelynn Hutchins of Hominy, Kanin Jones of Virgina Beach, and two more great-grandchildren expected soon and sister and brother-in-law Veronica and Jason Bronaugh.

Tonya will be remembered for her selflessness, her boundless love for her family, and her unwavering commitment to helping others.
