Van Ray Ralston of West Tulsa went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2022, at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Van was born September 8, 1955, in Agra, Oklahoma, and graduated from Chandler High School in 1973. He was at the top of the diesel mechanics class at Gordon Cooper Vo Tech. He went on to place 5th at State sharing tools with another student.
Van was baptized into the Church of the First Born when he was 15, and at that same age met the girl that would later become the love of his life. They recently celebrated 43 years of marriage on New Year's Eve. They made their home in Tryon, Oklahoma and soon came along their two children, Brandy Ralston Malt and Montana Beau Ralston.
Van bought his first truck when he was 21. He went into business with his dad. They owned 5 trucks together before he was 30 years old.
The family moved to Grand Junction Colorado in 1987, where he loved to hunt with his brother-in-law Travis Swezey. Van enjoyed taking the family on long vacations to see the country. In 1998 Van moved his family back to Oklahoma where he remained for the rest of his life.
Van had the most caring giving heart. He was shy when he first met someone, but once the shyness wore off, he loved to make people laugh. He was loved by all that met him. His big heart, funny stories, and love for laughter will be missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife Jeanne Ralston; daughter Brandy Nicole Malt and husband Rob, of Olathe, Kansas; son Montana Beau Ralston and wife Robin of Hobbs, New Mexico; grandsons Michael Christian Malt and Zak Van Malt of Olathe, Kansas.; sister Anita Toland of Cushing, Oklahoma; brother Travis Swezey and wife Bonnie of Whitewater, Colorado and mother Elvira Ralston of Cushing, Oklahoma.
