On Monday July 1, 2024, Vera Lynn White passed away peacefully at home in Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age of 62.
Vera was born July 9th, 1961, in Tulsa Oklahoma to Eugene and Nadine Gregory. She attended Sapulpa High School where she was known for her beautiful smile and her fierce loyalty to her friends and classmates.
Vera was high spirited and was always determined to do just as Vera wanted to do. She loved life, family and had a great sense of humor. She met Jim Berry and they have spent the last 20 years together living in Cleveland, Oklahoma. She worked as the office manager in their refuse business, and they were both excited and happy to have recently made the decision to retire. Vera was the center of their home and home was where her heart was.
Vera is preceded in death by her father Roscoe Eugene Gregory, stepfather Dale Wortman, brothers Larry Dale Gregory, Kenneth Virgil Gregory, Terry Roscoe Gregory, and David Glenn Gregory, stepbrothers Dale Allen Wortman, Jimmie Wortman and stepsister Elaine Bristow.
She is survived by Jim Berry of the home, son David Roscoe White, Mother Nadine Contreras, sister Donna Cole (husband Ed Cole), sister Lisa Kraft (husband Dan Kraft) sister -in-law Mary Gregory, half-sister Emma Sherry, nephews and nieces, Jason Smith, Jo Dawn Harris, Russell Wortman, David Bristow, Richard Sandell Jr., Savannah Sherry and Sophia Swift.
She will be sadly missed by a host of family and friends and fondly remembered by all her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In keeping of the Cherokee tradition, We are not saying goodbye…..We are only saying until we meet again.
Memorial services will be held at 1pm, Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Sapulpa. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S Main in Kellyville, Oklahoma, 918-247-7373
