Obituary

Welcomed into the world in December of 1950, Gerald Wayne Fargo was the third of four children born to Gerald Joe and Lenora Fargo. A native son of Kellyville, Wayne graduated in 1969 where he would then enlist with the U. S. Army. After serving in the motor pool of West Point, he deployed for a year with the 572nd Transport Group of the 25th Infantry Division in Vietnam receiving an Army Commendation medal.
After completing his service to his country, Wayne would return home and meet Dovie, the love of his life. They would be married for 43 years before she passed away, raising two children; their daughter, Valerie and son, Shannon. Providing for his family would become Wayne's greatest service in life. Sacrificing to give his family all he could. Other than spending time with family, Wayne also enjoyed fishing, hunting, racing and anything chocolate!
Loved by his family, daughter Valerie Fargo Milbery, her husband John as well as and son Shannon Wayne Fargo and his wife Cherry. He was also the proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Zachary, Ella, Katherine, Ruby, John, Nathan, Dylan and Jake along with his 3 great grandchildren: Ellayna, Nora and Valerie Charlotte (Charlie).

He was a wonderful son to his parents Joe & Lenora and a great brother to his siblings: Asa Fargo, Mary Webster and Roger Fargo. Also an amazing Uncle and a great father figure to many….all who met him loved him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his wife Dovie Fargo, his parents Gerald Joe & Lenora Fargo and his brother, Roger Fargo.
